Our research group is interested in cellular immune responses to
pathogens, and the correlation of those immune responses with
protection from clinical disease.  Most of our work has focused on
cytomegalovirus (CMV), HIV, and cancer.  Our goal is to
determine immune correlates of protection for diseases in which
cellular immunity is important.  This in turn would enable better
and more rapid vaccine development, as well as potential
monitoring of individuals undergoing immunotherapy.

In addition to published papers from our group and others, this
site contains protocols and tools related to cytokine flow cytometry
(CFC), the major methodology used by our group for measuring
